Description:
On Friday, August 3rd at 3 pm the Radford Library's Summer Reading Program comes to an end. We will celebrate with music, outdoor activities, and an Edible Book Contest.
Do you have a favorite book you wish would come to life? Now is your chance to recreate your favorite book. In celebration of our Summer Reading Program theme “DREAM BIG…READ!” the Radford Public Library is asking adults and children to use their imaginations and create books made of edible materials for everyone to enjoy.
Patrons will be able to vote for their favorite entries in a wide range of categories.
The only rule of the contest: Make edible art that has something to do with books as shapes or content.
For inspiration visit:
http://www.Books2Eat.com or Google “edible books”.
Entry forms are available at the library. Entries must be delivered no later than 2:30 pm on August 3rd, 2012.
