Description:
Join the Blacksburg Library for a special Ice-Cream Make and Take craft. Available while supplies last.
We love ice cream (and so did George Washington and Thomas Jefferson). Records kept by a New York merchant show that President Washington spent approximately $200 for ice cream during the summer of 1790.
President Jefferson was said to have a favorite 18-step recipe for an ice cream delicacy that resembled a modern-day Baked Alaska.
So, to mark National Ice Cream Month, for which we have Ronald Reagan to thank, kids will get to make this old-fashioned Ice-Cream Parlour Craft.
