The Floyd County Historical Society, Inc. presents Living History Day at the Phlegar House on Saturday, May 12th.
Join us for a day of activities including:
- Reenactors from the New River Rifles portraying the 24th VA Infantry and 83rd PA.
- Food for sale
- Storytelling from local historians
- Weaving Exhibits will be on display
- Learn about Floyd County's role in the Civil War
- Research on local Civil War soldiers
- Bring your Civil War related documents and photographs to be digitally copies
The Phlegar House is located across from the Floyd Regional Commerce Center located off of Christiansburg Pike/State Road 615. Signs will be placed on the road to direct you. The Phlegar House is behind Dex (Arrow Truck Sales, Inc.) which is located at 365 Christiansburg Pike NE in Floyd.
Co-sponsors include the Floyd County Historical Preservation Trust and the Floyd County Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee.
