Celebrate Israeli Independence Day at Virginia Tech with the Friends of Israel in front of the Newman Library all afternoon. April 26th is Yom Ha'atzma'ut (Independence Day).
The event will include:
- Free beer steins and Israeli chocolate
- Free facts about Israeli Independence Day and future Friends of Israel at VT events!
- Free Israeli jams to rock out
- Fresh falafel available for purchase for $3
The $3 falafel plate includes a delicious pita filled with fresh fried falafel, tahini, fresh hummus, Israeli salad, grilled eggplant, cabbage salad, and spicy sauce prepared by a kosher chef, Shumel, who was trained in Jerusalem.
Note: All food is vegan and cooked from scratch.
