Enjoy live fiddle and banjo music, great callers and dancing at Dare To Be Square's Barn Dances on Friday and Saturday evening at Homestead Farm in Riner. Everyone is invited.

Friday's dance will feature music from Backstep and The Southwest Virginia All Star Band will play Saturday night. Callers include Bill Ohse, Phil Jamison and Michael Ismerio.

No experience is necessary to dance and no partner is required.

Directions: For all directions, get on I-81: Take exit 114 onto Route 8 South towards Floyd. Follow Route 8 for approximately 9 miles. Take a right at Little Camp Rd/State Route 716. Take an immediate right onto Homestead Road. Follow the road until it ends.

The physical address of Homestead Farm is 5556 Homestead Road, Riner, Virginia, 24149.

Dare To Be Square is a full weekend workshop for aspiring and experienced square dance callers, dancers and musicians. Complete with food, music and dancing and sharing experiences about square dancing. On Friday and Saturday night, public Square Dances will be held for anyone who would like to attend.
