The Giles Theater presents the classic thriller Wait Until Dark by Frederick Knott.
Frederick Knott's psychological thriller “Wait Until Dark” first premiered on Broadway in 1966 with Lee Remick and Robert Duvall and was nominated for a Tony award. Soon after, it was turned into a film with Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin, and Richard Crenna which also earned Oscar and Golden Globe nominations. The play was also filmed for HBO television in 1982 and continues to be produced by professional and amateur theaters world wide. English playwright Fredrick Knott is best known for this play and his other hit thriller "Dial M for Murder," which was later filmed by Alfred Hitchcock.
The Pearisburg Community Center is located at 1410 Wenonah Avenue. Tickets are available at the door.
The Giles Little Theater is a non profit community theater located in Pearisburg, Virginia serving Giles County and the surrounding New River Valley. Its most recent reincarnation occurred in the Fall of 2008 under the vision and guidance of Susan Marie Gordon. Its goal is to bring Giles County classic productions from the Broadway stage performed by local talent.
