Come participate in the Blacksburg Southern Mountain Square Dance at the Blacksburg YMCA.
Phil Louer and Bill Richardson are scheduled to be the callers, the band is Katie & the Bubbatones, and Kathleen O’Connel on fiddle, Russ Boyd on banjo, John Hollandsworth on guitar, and Kathy Hollandsworth on bass.
Blacksburg Southern Mountain Square Dance, sponsored since 1981 by the Old-time Music and Dance Group of Blacksburg, presenting the finest square dance callers and old-time bands to bring you the oldest and funnest dance in Virginia!
Partners and square dance experience are not necessary- the caller teaches every dance! Please wear shoes that won't mar the floor.
Refreshments are available and this is a student, family-friendly and smoke free event. Children under 12 are free.
