Join The Cellar in their New Year's Eve Bash featuring the music of Big Thunder Rumble Fish.
Blacksburg's Big Thunder Rumble Fish has been delivering their funky stew since summer of '09. DrewL (drums - they sometimes call him "Thunderfoot") and Chase (bass - he likes to play) have been close friends since the late 90s and played in various groups together since '01.
After Chase discovered in '07 that he was actually a bassist he and Drew decided to get funky, eventually deciding to pursue the music of their mutually favorite band - the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They plucked Jay "Whudhejussdo??" Tomkins from an open mic gig after seeing him literally CHANNEL Hendrix. All they needed then was the golden voice and huge personality of their good friend Surf who was able to pull off the best Kiedis impression this side of LA.
With the base built, they all began a Red Hot cover band that would eventually unleash a flood that no one saw coming, not even the clueless guys who broke the dam.
