Description:
Alton “Butch” Dooley, associate curator of paleontology at the Virginia Museum of Natural History, will present a lecture entitled, "Running cedar, fossil plants, and the Wicked Witch of the West".
The lecture will be about how recent studies on the spores of lycopsid plants may have implications for the evolution of carboniferous coal forests.
The event is free and open to the public.
