The Asylum – A Haunting Experience is a haunted attraction located at St. Albans, a former sanatorium first opened in 1915.
High upon a mountain ridge, overlooking the peaceful New River, stands The Asylum an abandoned hospital for the mentally insane. Or is it really abandoned?
The Asylum is a dark, damp and musty place filled with all sorts of creepy things and the constant screams of many a tortured soul.
The Haunted Experience is hosted by the St. Albans Sanatorium and presented by members of the Mountain Ridge Paranormal Research Society.
The attraction is open every Friday and Saturday through October from 8 pm to midnight. Tickets are only $10.00 and are available at the door with plenty of free parking!
A portion of the proceeds are used to support local charities.
