Description:
Scientists are more optimistic about finding life beyond Earth than ever before. With the eye of NASA's Kepler satellite astronomers have found over 1,000 planets orbiting other stars and suspect that smaller worlds exist as well.
Biologists have found microscopic life on Earth in places they never expected, from hot springs to Arctic ice. With more advanced research than before, scientists have dramatically expanded the criteria for a life-bearing world and increased the confidence of finding other planets suitable for life. Come see the realistic fantasy worlds that animators have created based on the new definition of life-sustaining planets.
The RU Planetarium is located in Curie Hall room 43.
As usual all shows are free and everyone is invited. Enjoy our Planetarium shows every Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm.
