Description:
On Thursday, October 27th Radford University welcomes guest artist J.W. Turner. The program will include electro-acoustic works, an area he first encountered with Radford University Composition Professor Bruce Mahin. Mr. Turner will release his first solo album Contains Quinine in the spring of 2012.
J.W. Turner has pursued careers in teaching and performance, serving on the faculties of Whitman College, Guilford College, the Greensboro College and UNC Pembroke.
He is a frequent guest of the New Horizons concert series at Radford University, has performed at conferences for the College Music Society and the Southeast Composers League, and showcases chamber music of regional composers as the artistic director of the WSSU concert series, New Music Revelations.
