RU JAZZ is under the direction of Christopher White and includes music majors and non-majors who are selected through audition.
The concert features an evening of Big Band tunes entitled "Swingin' into Fall." The program features works from the libraries of Dizzy Gillespie, Woody Hermann, Stan Kenton, Ladd McIntosh, Buddy Rich, and Doc Severinson and the Tonight Show Band. Included will be the grand finale of Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man" in a setting unlike any other.
