The parade is scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. The parade route will line up in the 3rd Avenue Municipal lot and proceed eastward along Main Street, make a right on Tyler Avenue and proceed to Fairfax Street.
The theme for this year’s parade is "Sweet 16". The Highlanders Festival is 16 years old this year!
The Highlanders Festival is a partnership of the City of Radford and Radford University. It is a time of pageantry, color and pride as Pipe and Drum Bands, Marching Bands, RU sororities and fraternities, local celebrities, mascots and a host of others join together to bring a bit of Scotland into the New River Valley.
