Born from the sands of Key West FL (and raised for several years of his earliest childhood in Ecuador), Jamiel has always appreciated passion and expression of culture through the arts.

"Music is something that always felt like an energy that I was a part of, as opposed to something that was a part of me. In saying that I mean that art is a form of shared love that no one person can take solely as their own. Which is why I make music. I hope to make people think, smile, laugh, dance, cry, etc."

He is known to play many genre's, but his choice music to make is one that "has a groove and a feeling of it's own". Funk, Soul, Reggae, Hip Hop, Jazz, R&B, Latin, and World Beat are just a few styles you will hear incorporated into his recordings and performances.

Local musicians are showcased on Thursdays and Saturdays at 7pm. Friday night shows will begin at 10 pm and be 18 and up only. NO DOOR COVER! Gillie's musicians play for TIPS every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
