Sir James Galway is regarded as the supreme interpreter of the classical flute repertoire and a consummate entertainer whose appeal crosses all musical boundaries. His virtuosity on the flute is equaled only by his limitless ambitions and vision. Lady Jeanne Galway is one of the leading female flute soloists of the decade and an accomplished chamber musician, touring regularly with her trio, Zephyr.

The Galway flute master class will take place from 9am-12pm, November 7, 2011 in the Old Dominion Ballroom in Squires Student Center, located on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.

The master class is open to participants as well as general audience members. The cost for participants is $20 and $10 for general audience members. Participants will have the opportunity to perform group exercises with Sir James and Lady Jeanne Galway. Solo flute performers will include students from the Department of Music at Virginia Tech. Refreshments will be provided during the break and commemorative flute cleaning cloths will be for sale, cash or check only.

Payment for participants and general audience members will be accepted in the form of cash or personal checks at the door one hour prior to the master class. No payment will be accepted ahead of time. No credit cards will be accepted
