Virginia Tech Alumni Distinguished Professor Dr. James Robertson will speak at the Christiansburg Library on Saturday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Robertson’s presentation will include viewing a portion of the documentary Virginia in the Civil War: A Sesquicentennial Remembrance, produced by the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies at Virginia Tech, in cooperation with Blue Ridge PBS. The film includes re-enactments and living history presentations that emphasize the Civil War’s scope, tragedy, and lasting importance.

Dr. Robertson’s presentation is the first of several programs to be held in conjunction with the Virginia Historical Society’s panel exhibition “An American Turning Point: The Civil War in Virginia” which will be at the library from September 10 through September 25.
