Description:
ESPN's Thursday Night Football crew returns to Lane Stadium to televise an ACC Coastal Division match up featuring the North Carolina Tarheels vs. the Virginia Tech Hokies.

This is the official Orange Effect game for the 2011 season and it is Senior Night as well. And if that weren't enough, country star Darius Rucker will be signing the national anthem.

Additionally, the Marching Virginians and New Life Christian Fellowship are joining forces to sponsor a massive canned food drive in conjunction with the football game. The goal of the ambitious fourteenth annual HOKIES FOR THE HUNGRY drive is to collect 66,233 cans of food – One Can from Every Fan!

Drop-off points for HOKIES FOR THE HUNGRY are at all entrances to Lane Stadium and various locations near the stadium where Tailgate Pep Bands will be performing prior to kick- off.

All contributions will be distributed through the Montgomery County Christmas Store.

This game is officially a sell out though there does tend to be tickets available from those selling their extras around the stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN.
