Description:
Rev up your engines and power break at Sinkland Farms in Christiansburg on July 16 for a premier Classic Car Show. Hundreds of antique cars and trucks will be exhibited on the grounds as well as a variety of vendors presenting their wares to auto enthusiasts in “swap meet” style. The show and swap meet will open with cars arriving for judging and exhibition at 8:00 am.

All vehicles will be on display throughout the day and early evening. The Virginia Farm Bureau is sponsoring trophies for the show with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards in many categories ranging from Original, Restored, and Hot Rod car and truck classes. Their will also be a “peoples choice award.” All vehicle entries must be registered by 12 noon to be judged. Awards will be announced at 4:00 pm.

Also on July 16, Sinkland Farms will feature special live music for listening, clapping, dancing and foot stomping in the Barn Pavilion.

Upland Express - 6:00 pm

Headlining band Upland Express, founded in 1974, is an area favorite, with a diverse and impressive song list. The band has been described as energetic, fun, as well as a great dance band. Over the years, the group has won numerous entertainment awards.

There is a parking fee of $3.00 per vehicle to enter the grounds for the car show and music festival. The entrance fee to the Barn Pavilion for an afternoon and evening of great music, dancing and sampling of adult beverages (appropriate ID necessary) on a come and go basis is only $5.00 with children under 12 FREE.

Proceeds will benefit The United Way of the New River Valley. Sinkland is partnering with The United Way in appreciation of their many local community efforts which are keenly focused on generating and providing resources to build support for human needs here in the New River Valley.

Food from area noted Floyd County John Beegle will be on sale with pulled pork sandwiches, along with chicken quarters, baby back ribs, baked beans and more country side fixin’s. Also you will be able to enjoy ice cream, kettle korn, and Buffalo Mountain Concessions hot dogs, homemade lemonade and funnel cakes.

Sinkland Farms, known for their fall pumpkin festival, is located at 3020 Riner Road, just outside of Christiansburg. Take I-81 to Exit 114, travel south on Route 8 towards Riner/Floyd for 2.2 miles. The farm is on the left.
