The Roanoke - Blacksburg Technology Council hosts their 2011 Fall Membership Gala, Thursday, September 29th. The reception will start at 5:30 pm and at 7:00 pm the dinner and program will commence. The Gala is black tie optional.

Please join us for a celebration of the Roanoke - Blacksburg region's technology community. The Gala is our largest speaker event and an opportunity to network with over 400 leaders in business and innovation. This year's keynote will be delivered by the Graham Weston, Chairman of Rackspace, a managed services company that went public in 2008. Mr. Weston will share his thoughts about building a fast growing tech firm, workplace culture, and the future of cloud services.

Graham Weston is the chairman, and one of the founders, of Rackspace, the world leader in hosted computing, including cloud computing. Over the past decade, Rackspace has achieved double-digit revenue growth and currently boasts a market capitalization of $5 billion. Rackspace's 3,000+ employees serve over 100,000 customers of all sizes. Rackspace manages more than 60,000 servers at data centers in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

One of Graham's passions is workplace culture, which he emphasizes as a mentor and advisor to numerous entrepreneurs. While serving as CEO of Rackspace, Graham was named a 2006 “Best Boss” by Fortune Small Business magazine and, and was recognized as regional Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.
