Description:
The Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation, a 501-c-3 non-profit organization, will be hosting the Alexander Black Tie Gala to be held on August 27 at the Inn at Virginia Tech. The Gala, sponsored by the Blacksburg Partnership, will be a fundraising dinner and auction to support the restoration of the historic Alexander Black House and Cultural Center on Draper Road.

The evening will begin with a champagne reception and silent auction at 6:30 pm, followed by dinner and a live auction, and ending with dancing to the music of DJ Earl Brown. This is a black tie “optional” event.

“Our goal for the Gala is to raise awareness for the Alexander Black House project, but equally as important is to offer our community a great annual social event they won’t want to miss,” said President of the Foundation, Jim Rakes.

Tickets to the Gala are $85 per person or $725 for a table. Table sponsors receive premium reserved seating for eight, two bottles of wine, and recognition in the event program.
