Description:
Fred Benfield is a member of the American Roots band playing Appalachian ballads, blues, swing and folk grass.

Laura Beth and Clover Hollow started playing together in 2007 in the Blue Ridge of Appalachia. The group mixes their various backgrounds—from Memphis blues to gospel and classical—to create a tradition of music that is emotional and inspirational.

The Newport Jamboree is scheduled for every 4th Saturday, June-September at the Village of Newport at the Community Park in Newport (1.3 miles on route 42 off of US 460, on the right).

The local Ruritan chapter will be selling concessions and be sure to bring a lawn chair. We will ask for a $5.00 donation from each adult to cover the bands and park fee-kids under 12 get in free.
