Description:
The 3rd Annual NewRiverFest will take place on July 2nd at the Cascades Events Park conveniently located on US 460 one mile west of beautiful Pembroke, VA. The festival is just 25 minutes from Blacksburg in the heart of the New River Valley and Giles County.

Come spend the day with family and friends and enjoy shopping with our many vendors and listening to some great Bluegrass music headlined by Larry Keel and Natural Bridge.

Try participating in the 4th annual “Ride River Run” triathlon, our 1st annual New River Fishing Tournament, the 3rd annual Canoe and Kayak Race, or our first ever Archery Shoot. A kids casting competition, stand-sup paddle-boarding, fly casting and tying, pony rides, and canoeing, kayaking, and tubing the New River are just a “few” of the activities you can expect to enjoy at the event.

Tentative Schedule:
8 am - Family Fishing Contest pre-fish meeting
9:30 am - Ride-River-Run Triathalon pre-race meeting
10 am - NewRiverFest Begins/Ride-River-Run Starts
12 noon - Canoe & Kayak Race pre-race meeting
12:45 pm - Canoe & Kayak Race Begins
1:30 pm - Family Fishing Contest Participants Check-in, Ride-River-Run Finish Line begins
3:30 pm - Awards Ceremony
4:30 pm - Finale Celebration featuring Larry Keel and the Natural Bridge

Directions: Cascades Event Park is on US 460 - 1/2 mile West of Pembroke, VA. Behind the Farm Bureau building and across from Pembroke Stop N Save. There will be lots of signs along US 460 and a huge overhead banner spanning 460 to get folks to the right place.
