Have you ever wanted to can your extra tomatoes and green peppers but didn’t quite know what to do?

On Tuesday, June 21 at 6:30 pm Marie Goodwin from Goodwin Farms & Apiary will be at the Meadowbrook Public Library in Shawsville, VA to explain all about canning and preserving. She will explain the Do’s and Don’ts of proper canning and preserving techniques. She will also discuss how to dry foods and methods for freezing produce from your garden.

Marie and her husband own Goodwin Farms and Apiary. She is also active in the EastMont Garden Club and the Farmers Market.

The program is free and open to the public.
