A Country Life - Luster’s Gate and the Roanoke Valley - by Dr. John Miller, PhD.
Dr. Miller will talk about moving with his family from Pittsburgh to Luster’s Gate when he was a young boy in 1949 after his father tired of the rat race in the Pittsburgh steel mills to run a country store in Luster's Gate. This talk will present a picture of the timeless beauty of the area and of the farmers, tradesmen, moonshiners, mountain men and loafers- who made up that world now long disappeared.
