Description:
In a word, Bob Keel is real. He writes from the heart. He writes what he sees. It is untainted and sometimes not pretty. He's writes of love like it was just discovered yesterday and his songs have a way of penetrating down to your very soul. They are soothing sometimes and at other times cutting. His sound is like if Bob Dylan, Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, and The Avett Brothers were fused together in a freak nuclear accident and then wrote a song. Bob is a story teller for those in need of tale.
Bob got his start playing in the thriving Shepherdstown, WV music scene in the early 90's with local legends but mainly just around campfires with bottles of what ever was handy. From the start though, Bob was always writing. The first song he ever learned to play all the way through was a song he wrote.
In 2008, Bob's popular Mid-Atlantic band, Emmitt Kellar, went their separate ways after recording three strong albums. Since he was the primary writer for the band, he was able to start off his solo career with the benefit of a vast catalog of songs. Utilizing this catalog of songs as well new songs, sometimes written right before a show, Bob captivates anyone who is willing to listen.
Bob currently resides in his native West Virginia. For more information, visit:
