Description:
The innaugural triathlon staged out of the state of the art Christiansburg Aquatic Center is sure to bring smiles to the faces of triathletes throughout southwest Virginia. Located in the picturesque town of Christiansburg this event features a 400 meter snake swim followed by a rolling 12 mile ride through Christiansburg and the surrounding countryside. Once athletes are done with the bike they will do a 5K run that loops through neighborhoods adjacent to the aquatic center. The VTS is proud to have brought a new pool swim triathlon to this part of the state.

The race is open to both individuals and teams. Prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers in various age groups and for each gender as well as the relay teams. Race packets can be picked up on Saturday, June 25 from 2-6 pm at the Aquatic Center and from 5:30-6:30 am the day of the race.

Proceeds will go to Fitness in Action, a non-profit organization in the New River Valley that provides underprivileged youth fitness training and the opportunity to participate in triathlons.
