The Jessie Peterman Library presents the Annual Floyd Comic Fest on Saturday, July 11, 2026. This year's Floyd Comic Fest features special guest Tim Quinn live from England, a Marvel UK writer & editor and co-creator of Earth 33 1/3, who is funny, inspiring, full of stories and he knew Stan Lee who will walk us through creating a superhero comic at 12:00 PM. Local author of the junior graphic novel "Soulstar Hunters", Catherine Ayers, will talk about her inspiration for this book and how she creates her watercolor drawings at 11:15 AM. Hacksburg Community Workshop will feature a show and tell with their equipment and creations. We have a cosplay contest for all ages with some great prizes, cosplay demonstrations, a D&D One Shot session, raffles and free stuff, vendors, yoga in the pavilion and loads of fun activities for the whole family! The is a family friendly event open to all ages. Admission is free. The Jessie Peterman Library is located at 321 West Main Street in Floyd, VA.
