Description: The Kiwanis Club of Christiansburg presents the 53rd Anniversary of the Kiwanis Wilderness Trail Festival on Saturday, September 19, 2026 in downtown Christiansburg, Virginia.

Celebrate history, culture, and tradition at the Wilderness Trail Festival. The festival is always a full day of fun and excitement for the entire family loaded with great local artisans and crafters, live local entertainment on two stages, free kid's activities, heritage trade & skill demonstrators, delicious food from area restaurants and food trucks, emergency service vehicles, raffles and silent auction.

• 2:30-4:00 PM: New River Voices Choral Society

Community Stage Performances:
• 9:30-10:30 AM: Christiansburg High School Choral Ensemble
• 10:30 - 11:15 AM: Wilderness Road Chorus (yet to be confirmed)
• 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM: Appalachian Aftershock Performance
• 12:00-1:00 PM: Virginia Techniques Gymnastics
• 1:00-1:45 PM: Mike Petersen's Kempe Karate
• 1:45-2:30 PM: Little Leapers
• 2:30-4:00 PM: Crystal River Band in Concert

Admission is free and all are welcome.

100% of all proceeds go back to support worthy causes in our community.

Chairs are welcome.

The event is rain or shine.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.

The Kiwanis Club of Christiansburg was founded in 1949 and serves the local community. Their service includes development of Kiwanis Park and starting the recreation program for Christiansburg, VA. Over the years, Kiwanis raised funds and provided labor support to many youth organizations including: Boy Scouts, Red Cross, school safety patrol, Girls and Boys State, cheerleaders, sandlot programs, and Christmas celebrations for local children in need, to name a few. The Club initiated and is currently supporting the Kiwanis Head Start Back Pack Program which provides food for approximately 50 children each week.
