The Christiansburg Library presents the program "Keeping the Lights On: Affordable Energy for Our Communities" on Thursday, November 20, 2025. We all want affordable, clean energy, but these days rising electric bills are squeezing household budgets. Learn how to make your home more efficient and lower your electric bill by joining us on Thursday, Nov. 20, 5-7 p.m. at the Christiansburg Library for “Keeping the Lights On: Affordable Energy for Our Communities.” This free event will offer participants at all income levels actionable steps to make their homes more energy efficient, comfortable and safe and to save money on electric bills. Speakers will include: • Organizations offering energy efficiency upgrades • Low-income weatherization assistance programs • Solar energy installers • Nonprofit organizations discussing tax credits and other programs Light refreshments will be provided. Appalachian Voices and Virginia Organizing are hosting the event. The Christiansburg Library is located at 125 Sheltman Street in Christiansburg, VA.
