The Montgomery Museum of Art & History presents the first program of The Art of Happiness 2024 titled "Kinesthetics Painting" on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The Montgomery Museum of Art & History is bringing back "The Art of Happiness" during May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month. We are offering self-help coping tactics and strategies by using art exhibits, materials, and spaces as helpful tools to address emotional well-being. This interactive series will focus on aspects of positive psychology and the role that art can play in general happiness. On May 4th, the program is "Kinesthetics Painting: Painting with Feet". Using alternative ways of painting, we ground ourselves while also utilizing different parts of our brains. Admission is free and all materials will be provided by the museum though registration is required. This is free community building/experiential self-help. Art Therapy cannot be practiced without a Registered/Licensed Art Therapist within a therapy session. At-Home artwork for use as coping skills and relaxation is called Therapeutic Art. For adults 18 and older only. No art experience is needed. Come willing to try new things.
