The Vinton Farmers Market presents Story Time on the Stage on Saturday, May 27, 2023. Come on down to the Vinton Farmers Market for a day filled with educational fun for the whole family! The day will focus on local produce, farming, gardening, and our relationship with the food network. At 9:00 AM, Roanoke County Library will host a storytime on the stage for kids of all ages. Following the story, we will offer crafts and activities such as farmers market bingo, decorating pots and planting seeds, and food tastings. We are excited to welcome Jake from “Jake’s Garden” who will lead a Q&A on his journey cultivating and selling plant starters. A variety of vendors will be selling their products from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Enjoy some Greek coffee and pastries from the Kefi food truck, or grab a frozen lemonade from Deb’s. Both will be on-site at 10:00 AM. We can’t wait to kick off this summer with a day full of learning and fun! If you are interested in being a vendor, please email cloveland@vintonva.gov.
