Join us for our Films About Fashion series with the second showing will be the 2017 Oscar-nominated movie "Phantom Thread" starring Vicky Krieps, Daniel Day-Lewis and Lesley Manville and is rated R.

Film Synopsis:
Set in 1950s London, Reynolds Woodcock is a renowned dressmaker whose fastidious life is disrupted by a young, strong-willed woman, Alma, who becomes his muse and lover.

Lots of films have been made about the fashion industry. The two art forms, both based in photography, make natural partners. Blacksburg Museum & Cultural Foundation, in conjunction with the current exhibit "Fashion History Moving Forward: Animating the Present, Considering the Past", presents Films About Fashion, a series of three movies running from Thursday, January 19th through Thursday, February 2nd.

Admission is free.
