The City of Radford and the Radford Chamber of Commerce wraps up the 2022 Summer Concert Series featuring the Catalina's in concert on Saturday, September 24 2022 on the Glencoe Mansion, Museum & Gallery lower field in Radford, VA. Relax to beach music by Catalina’s to complete this year’s Concert Series! The Catalinas began in 1957 and is still one of the most popular bands in the southeastern US. Known for their quality, tight sound and energy onstage, they are one of the "in demand" groups for city festivals and private parties, always playing a variety of music that suits all ages. Though known for Beach Music, regionally and nationally for the mega hit and now classic "Summertime's Callin' Me" in 1975, they play all styles to a high standard of excellence. The band has recorded and released over 75 songs, most notably the regional hit "You Haven't The Right" and the above mentioned "Summertime's Callin' Me" which was a large part of creating what is now called "Beach Music". The Radford Chamber of Commerce will be on site with adult beverages for purchase for those 21 & older. Admission is $5.00 for adults and free for ages 11 & under. Gates open at 6:00 PM and the concert begins at 7:00 PM. Bring your chairs and/or blankets. No outside food or drink is allowed. Glencoe Mansion is located at 600 Unruh Drive in Radford, VA.
