Seph Custer is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Boones Mill, Virginia, offering a fresh look at American and handmade tunes. With many years of experience arranging music for groups in Southwest Virginia, as well as backing up groups and artists on stage, he's combined his talents to offer a diverse variety of acoustic songs, full-band jams, and intriguing covers.

For his first seven years in music, his career revolved around playing lead guitar, banjo, slide and mandolin for numerous rock, Americana, blues, punk, alternative, and traditional bands. He's fined tuned his sound over the course of two studio albums and over 600 live shows, combining his diverse music taste with his skill set from several instruments; all delivered with only vocals and a modified guitar.

Seph has been featured in The Floyd Country Store’s annual tribute concerts, covering Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Carole King, and Paul Simon. In 2015, Seph's music was so well received at Callaway Brewing Company, they named a small batch German Wheat Ale "Sepheweissen." Seph Custer & The Papa Tom Band were included in Floydfest’s 2017 “Artists on the Rise” competition. In 2018, he became a member of Brackish Water Jamboree playing mandolin, joined them on tour, and performed alongside them in the “Rockn’ to Lockn” competition. He’s also appeared in Virginia Brew Hub Magazine, Appalachian Jamwich Magazine, The Roanoke Times, Blue Ridge Rocks, City Magazine, Roanoke’s Down By Downtown festival, The Nor-folk Festival, Pink Moon Festival, Blacksburg's Rock the Blocks and Steppin' Out Festivals, and WDVX's Blue Plate Special.

As well as being a performer and composer, Seph teaches acoustic & electric guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, bass, violin, slide guitar, lap steel, dobro, and music theory at Downtown Music in Rocky Mount, The Handmade Music School at The Floyd Country Store, and Fret Mill in Downtown Roanoke.

Henry Hardt's Mudcats play old time street and piedmont blues reveling in music penned earlier in the 20th century from Charlie Pool to The Reverend Gary Davis to Robert Johnson and are based in Floyd, VA. The band members are Jeff Liverman, Jeremia Dwier, Barb Gillespie, Will Norton and Sean Matuk.

The Mudcat’s specialize in illuminating the influence that old style street music including blues and jug band sounds had on modern Rock and Roll. They play songs made popular by such artists as Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Nirvana and Eric Clapton, but they play in the style of the original recordings from the 1920s and 30s.

Henry Hardt’s Mudcats are a fun, danceable look back at some of the most influential music of the last three generations.

Cocobolo, a band that blends magic and mystery into melody, plays thought provoking, entertaining original music written by it’s members, all of whom currently call Southwest Virginia home.

You are sure to love the creative and intricate leads of Bob Dillard, a lifelong guitarist, who brings excitement to the stage with his enthusiasm and skill. The sensitive and seductive bass accompaniments of Christopher Luster, playing electric stand up fretless bass, often surprisingly with a bow, the foot tapping rhythms and grooves of percussionist T.G. Williams, and the warm vocals of singer, Stella Trudel, whose commitment to writing original lyrics and singing from the heart weaves stories into harmonies that stir emotions and leave listeners wanting more.

Their performances and music take you on a journey fraught with raw emotions and stories of love, trust, betrayal and longing. When all is said and done, the haunting melodies of Carrie Hinkley's soulful voice are hard to shake off and instead keep returning and replaying in one's mind, like an untamed mantra of beauty and tragedy. Kat Mills performs soul folk music to soothe you and is based in Blacksburg, VA and tours throughout the East. She is a writer, singer, guitarist and seeker rooted in GenX habits, nodding and winking to 60s and 70s troubadour traditions, and openly commenting on the aches and triumphs of the moment. Any way you hear it, Kat's powerful vocal range, vintage Martin guitar, and mystic vibes combine to produce a clean honest sound that leaves audiences wanting more.

Kat Mills believes in the power of folk music, now more than ever, to transport and transcend. A troubled day, or world, can be soothed by a song. At a time when we have almost forgotten how to be still, to listen, to reflect and then engage, Kat Mills helps us remember.

She was a founding member of acclaimed newgrass band, Grass. Kat is currently based in Blacksburg VA and touring as a solo singer and songwriter throughout the East and beyond. Kat has been inspiring all with her music, her smoky voice and heartfelt lyrics for years.

Her vintage guitars and throwback threads remind you of another era, but her soulful original songs and stories are for the here and now. Kat Mills has made records, won awards, and worked with some of the big names, but she really just wants to use her voice for good.

Kat has proudly been involved in Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival (NY), Floyd Fest (VA), Solar Fest (VT), The Takoma Park Folk Festival (DC) and other events lining up with issues of social justice and environmental responsibility. Favorite opening sets have supported Levon Helm, Dar Williams, Dori Freeman and Sarah Lee Guthrie.

Songwriter series, in-the-rounds, and house concerts have been a mainstay. But Kat Mills is equally at home on a theater or café stage, having played notable songwriter venues including The Towne Crier, Rosendale Café, The Lyric Theatre, Caffe Lena, Jefferson Center, and Kirk Avenue Music Hall. She was a finalist in the 2015 NewSong/LEAF Singer-Songwriter Competition, has had original song placements in film and podcasts, and appears as a backing vocalist for other artists, most recently with super-group “Reelin’ in the Years: A Tribute to Steely Dan” at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock NY.
