Dogtown Roadhouse presents Florencia & the Feeling in concert on Friday, July 1, 2022. The Feeling is a pop funk fusion band playing a mix of original music and covers. Feeling is the name given to the group of incredibly talented musicians assembled to play with Florencia. The name refers to the captivating & carefree energy that flows from the stage at each and every concert, This high energy group throws a show guaranteed to inspire good feelings all around! Florencia Rusiñol is a life-long singer and songwriter born in 1992. Although she was born in Canada, and grew up in East Tennessee, her Argentine parents instilled in her a love of Latin American music from an early age. All through her childhood, there was a mix of everything from Argentine folklore to The Beatles to Manhattan Transfer playing in the house at all times. With all the music flowing around her, it was nearly impossible for her not to want to become a professional musician, and she began working towards that by performing wherever she could during high school, singing everything from choral music to jazz standards. In 2015, Florencia graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with a degree in Music Therapy. Florencia was thrilled to be able to combine her passion for music and her desire to make a difference in the world with this profession. Still, she never lost her love of composing and performing. As a nomad at heart, Florencia has had the opportunity to travel and perform in various cities and countries such as San Francisco, Charlotte, Hungary, Kenya, Argentina and Ecuador, where she recorded and released her first EP.
