Fancy Gap Hiking presents a Haiku Walk on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at a private habitat located in Blacksburg, Virginia. Enjoy making a beautiful spring morning even more spectacular. We'll walk through a private habitat in an immersive meditative manner, absorbing our surroundings, using all our senses, and then write about our experience. This is a very easy, enjoyable way to be a poet. Abundant instruction and encouragement will be provided. You can also feel free to sketch journal style if you'd like. Sharing our work with others in the group is totally optional. This event is free, but the group size will be limited. To register, email fancygaphiking@gmail.com. Fancy Gap Hiking offers guided hikes in the Blue Ridge Mountains although we focus on the Fancy Gap area which offers quieter trails. Distance and pace varies depending on the hike theme. Free community hikes are also offered throughout the year.
