The Virginia Tech Alumni Association presents the 2019 Homecoming Tailgate before the Virginia Tech Hokies vs. University of North Carolina Tarheels on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Holtzman Alumni Center. Join us for live music from Laymantown Ridge, food, drinks, games and a kids' corner featuring inflatables, petting zoo and face painter! Formed in October 2017, Laymantown Ridge (formerly Eighty Proof) brings their high energy take on modern country and rook roots with some classics mixed in. You can expect to hear modern country with a mix of today’s biggest hits and dance music from Jason Aldean to Matchbox Twenty to Luke Bryan to Michael Jackson. Laymantown Ridge's is comprised of musicians from established acts such as Eleven South and Hired Guns. Their musicians have had the opportunity to share the stage with artists: Julie Roberts, Brad Paisley, Charlie Daniels Band, Staind and many more!
