Zappy's presents their first ever Breast Cancer 5K Run / Walk on Sunday, October 13, 2019 starting and ending behind the Food Lion located at North Main Street in Blacksburg, VA. The Walk / Run 5K event proceeds will support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation as we work together to raise $15,000 for the support of the advancement of research in ending Breast Cancer. This event is a fun, healthy way to get yourself and/or business involved with Blacksburg and surrounding communities. In addition to the run, we will be hosting an after party celebration at the finish line for all participating patrons and sponsors. The celebration will have free food for all who attend and feature a DJ from SJ Sounds and Lighting. The cost to participate in the 5K is $10.00. To participate and add a t-shirt is $20.00. The race start and finish line will be at the Seneca Drive Park in Blacksburg, VA (Right behind the Food lion at 1413 North Main Street Blacksburg, VA). The run route goes through Pheasant Run behind Food Lion on Patrick Henry and North Main Street. Zappy is a clothing brand originally established by then Virginia Tech sophomores Eric Mbualungu and Bryan Kamenga in February 2018 in Blacksburg, Virginia. Zappy’s mission is to spread selflessness through philanthropy, service, and support of local and international causes and charities.
