Description: Wilderness Road Regional Museum presents Living History at the Newbern Fall Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2019 and Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Enjoy living history encampments, demonstrations, exhibits, live music, speaking engagements, food and much more.

The live music throughout the entire festival including musicians Jim Lloyd and friends, Virginia Hollow, Ron Ireland, Nate Montgomery, bagpipes and more.

The museum will also host living history with the Montgomery / Fincastle Militia, the New River Rifles, and demonstrations of blacksmithing, candle making, corn husk chair bottoms, spinning, weaving, lacemaking, leather making, wood working, corn shelling, flax breaking, Apple butter, Apple cider pressing, bullet making, basket weaving and broom making.

Enjoy free museum tours along with the 1818 German Barn, loom house, log kitchen, and all supporting structures. Heritage Crafts for sell by the museum along with the famous beans and cornbread and apple fritters.

Admission is free.

Food and drink sales benefit the museum.
