Historic Smithfield presents A Smithfield Hallowe'en: Family Fun Festival on Sunday, October 27, 2019. Enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of fall with doughnuts and cider available for purchase from our featured food vendor, Blue Ridge Cider Doughnuts and walk the grounds at Smithfield to interact with a variety of re-enactors interpreting historic crafts, including hearth cooking, cider-press demonstrations, candle-making and blacksmith demonstrations. Stop in at our on-site Artisan Fair to browse local, handmade goods from area craftspeople and enjoy live music in our Pavilion featuring headliner New Standard Bluegrass Band, Happy Hollow Stringband and Simple Gifts of the Blue Ridge, sponsored by Martin Arthur and Associates, CPA. Music Schedule: • 12:00-2:00 pm: Happy Hollow Stringband • 3:00-4:00 pm: New Standard Bluegrass Band • 4:00-6:00 pm: Simple Gifts of the Blue Ridge Fun for the whole family, a variety of children’s activities will be offered including face painting and Halloween carnival games. Make sure to dress in your very best Halloween costume and enjoy ‘Trick Or Treat’ house tours inside the historic home! Admission is $15.00 per person ages 5 & up and free for children under 5.
