Studio Appalachia presents Glen Alton Poetry on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Glen Alton Recreation Area in Ripplemead, VA. Glen Alton Poetry is an annual event occurring in late August since 2013. Enjoy acoustic music by Spectral Arts, Ghost House Collective and Project Rainbow. Poetry performers include North/South and Dark House Poets. Spectral Arts formed in the winter of 2007 in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and combines live acoustic music with poetry that is both spoken and sung. The Appalachian band features regular band members as well as local guests. The music and poetry have been described as transcendental and embodying a beautiful, as well as an ethereal, visionary quality.
