Clean Valley Council presents the 2nd Annual Clean Valley's Riverfest: Recycled Regatta & Duck Race on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at Smith Park in Roanoke, VA. Clean Valley's RiverFest will be a day filled with music, river racing, food trucks, workshops and fun all to celebrate the Roanoke River! Our legacy fundraiser for Clean Valley Council to celebrate waterway health, support stormwater education, litter prevention and recycling in the beautiful environment surrounding the Roanoke Valley. Recycled boat races will headline the day with teams testing their creative, building and boating skills as they race homemade boats made only of old recycled, reused and repurposed materials. 10,000 rubber duckies will race through the course for the duck race. We will be selling duck tickets for $2.00 a duck up until the duck race beginning at 12:00 pm. Admission is free. Your support of this event will help keep the Roanoke Valley and the surrounding communities beautiful and protect local rivers through youth and adult education, pollution prevention and environmental conservation.
