Warm Hearth Village Center presents Help Us Become a Dementia Friendly Community with Free Training Sessions on Friday, June 21, 2019. On June 21st, the summer solstice, people across the world participate in an activity on The Longest Day to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. Help us become the first certified Dementia Friendly Community in the state by coming to a short training session at one of the times listed below. Gain a basic understanding and useful tools to help seniors affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. The session will last approximately one hour and is being offered at the following times and locations: Warm Hearth Village Center: 2387 Warm Hearth Drive, Blacksburg, VA • 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM KARR ACTIVITY CENTER 2603 Warm Hearth Drive, Blacksburg, VA • 10:00 AM & 2:00 PM The classes are free.
