Description: The Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library presents a Panel Discussion on Public Library's Role on the Topics of Homelessness and Social Needs on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Lyric Theatre.

Join us for a free panel discussion on homelessness and other social needs and the role of the public library.

Featured Panelists:
• Karim Khan, Director, Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library
• Shari Henry, Director, Roanoke County Public Library
• Melvin Robertson, To Our House Program Shelter Services Specialist, New River Community Action
• Monena Hall, Branch Manager, Blacksburg Library, Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library

The Panel Discussion is free and all are welcome to attend.

Before and after the discussion, the Lyric Theatre will present "The Public", a new movie about homelessness in our communities and the role of the public library starring Alec Baldwin and Emilio Estevez. The audience can watch the movie at 3:00 PM and stay for the discussion or attend the discussion and then watch the movie at 7:00 PM. Movie tickets are regular price.
