The Gaye Y. Whitaker Memorial Fund and Boot Camp Challenge - New River Valley hosts the 2nd Annual Brewser Boot Camp Run presented by Corona Premiere on Sunday, May 5, 2019, Cinco de Mayo, at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. Schedule: • 12:00 pm: Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup • 1:00 pm: Run begins The Brewser Boot Camp Run is a unique concept developed by the Memorial Fund last year. The race includes a two-mile trail run with boot camp stations along the route through the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center and on the Huckleberry Trail. Stations will include exercises such as push-ups, burpees, sit-ups, jumping jacks and some other surprises. The drill sergeants will be fun, motivational and encouraging. Awards will be given to the top three fastest males and females. Entry fee includes race registration, t-shirt, participation dog tags and one beer ticket featuring Corona Light and their new lower carb brand Corona Premier. Enjoy music, beer garden and a food vendor (tacos, nachos & more) during and after the race. The cost is $30.00 per person. Participants can register as an individual or team of five. It is a fun event and can be as challenging as participants want it to be. All proceeds to benefit The Gaye Y.
