Children's author and illustrator Henry Cole will speak about his work in an event focusing on families with children in grades 3-6. Educational and interactive, Henry Cole's presentations dazzle audiences of all ages. His clever wit, theatrical expressions and remarkable ability to draw keep students laughing and engaged. Cole encourages students to develop their individual talents, using his own experience, marked by patience and perseverance, as an example.

Henry Cole is a Virginia native, raised on a farm near Purcellville, Virginia, who now lives in Florida and taught elementary science for 16 years. In his class, he often used art and humor to illustrate concepts to his students, but eventually decided to share his talent with a wider audience. He has illustrated over 80 popular picture books and authored more than 15 children’s books, including "A Nest for Celeste", "Eddie the Bully", "Spot, the Cat" and "On Meadowview Street" among others.
