2019 NRCC Black History Month program:

Description: New River Community College (NRCC) and the college's Black History Committee present the 2019 NRCC Black History Month Program on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 117 Edwards Hall at New River Community College's Dublin, VA campus.

In celebration of Black History month, New River Community College presents a special program with keynote speaker Dr. Brian Hemphill, the president of Radford University. Dr. Hemphill's topic will be "African Americans in Motion: Movement from Poverty to National Stages in Business and Politics".

Musical performances will be provided by Pulaski Middle School student Danta Holmes and Unlimited Praise, the praise and worship team from the Radford Church of God in Christ.

Light refreshments will be served following the program.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
