Interweave presents Ecstatic Dance with Katie Wells & DJ Wryn on Friday, March 15, 2019 at In Balance Yoga Studio in Blacksburg, VA. Love to dance, but don't love bars? Enjoy dancing in a safe space with conscious music and kind people. Dance Professor Katie Wells MFA will help facilitate this experience so that it is a meaningful and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. DJ Wryn will select conscious tracks to take dancers on the wave of the 5 Rhythms. The cover is $12.00. Interweave is a form of conscious movement that develops an inward sensing of the body as a gateway to self-discovery, relief, connection, and exhilaration. A body journey that is both grounding and ecstatic, Interweave puts transformation into practice by dissolving barriers within and without to bring us to connected wholeness. This work is influenced by somatics, meditation, free-style dance, chakra therapy, Focusing, archetypes, shadows and self-compassion. Interweave is medicine for our disembodied culture, calling us back to our bodies with loving presence. The Interweave team host retreats and gatherings each year that provide the opportunity for deep connection with self, spirit and community. Interweave events can also be brought to your area, event or festival. Interweave's founder, Katie Wells can also be booked as a workshop provider or performer at festivals, events, retreats and classes. Katie has over 35 years of movement experience.
