Description: Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Transportation Museum continues their Ratcliffe Museum Lessons and Legacies with the talk "History and Restoration of Calfee Training School" on Sunday, February 24, 2019.

As part of the American Evolution 2019 Commemoration celebrating Pulaski County Black History Month, the Ratcliffe will present a program on the Calfee Training School presented by Guy Smith. The building is located on West Main Street in Pulaski, VA. Find out about the history of this school and the impact it had on our community.

Also, learn about the current plans to save and restore this historic treasure. The future plans for this building will be reviewed and you will learn how you can become involved with the project. Guy Smith is the son of Calfee Training School alumni and currently serves as the Director of the Pulaski County Social Services Department.
